Children photographer
We are all guilty of it…. ‘Ill get the photographer to take some lovely images of the little ones’, then never get round to it and before you know it there not little anymore!
Standard throughout the industry now is the photographer having either a web presents or an online portfolio, more professional photographers with have an organized pricelist for you to see.
It goes without saying your children will need to be attended at all times, but as long as you feel comfortable have some trust in your photographer, for example a picture of your kids playing in the long grass in the countryside on an autumn evening will be on your wall forever!
Children photographers will also take family photographs, probably have access to a studio and or work on location.
It is not uncommon for a photographer to ask your permission to resell the images they take but you as a guardian/parent will have full control over that and can easily and without offending say no.
If you have been asked don’t dismiss it straight away as the images could be used to illustrate some wonderful things, if you are asked just ask your photographer to explain more as these images will be used for stock.
As above the photographer will by law require you to fill out one of their model release forms, this is what a stock library will need before the image can be seen or used.
As for prices it will be similar to any studio price list, either paying for studio time or for prints.
